Molycorp plant die Produktionserhöhung

für die fallenden Kurse bei den meisten REE's Companies....kreiert von den Obergangstern JPMorgan.
Aus der heutigen Meldung:
"Grund für diese Prognose ist die Vorraussetzung, dass China  die selbstgesteckten Exportquoten nicht einhalten werde."
Die Regierung hatte am Dienstag mitteilten lassen, dass die Exportquoten 2012 auf dem Vorjahresniveau bleiben werden. Dies war erwartet worden, dennoch bewerten einige Analysten den Schritt auch als Versuch, die Preise wieder nach oben zu treiben.

Es ist wohl auch das erste mal,das China seperate Quoten zwischen HRE's und LRE's bekannt gegeben hat.

"This is the first time that the Ministry of Commerce People’s Republic of China (MofCom) has created separate quotes for LREEs and HREEs; there’s no MofComm definition in place for exports here, in terms of putting one rare metal into either category, but it appears that Lanthanum, Cerium, Praseodymium and Neodymium are in the lights category while the heavies (and mediums) category is everything else."

It's just a token purchase like it was last time around only to say hey I believe in the company but like you pointed out he sold 259,000 shares before the latest 10,000 share repurchase which is a total joke. He laughed all the way to the bank cashing out his 13 million dollar position.

Tons of insiders sold in the 50 - 52 area to cash in billions while the little investors are getting absolutely killed here. Mark Smith just a week before last earnings came out on CNBC saying the future is very good. I remember you wrote an article about blowout earnings coming or something like this based on what the CEO said.

The stock I think hit 41's or 42's and then tanked to 30 - 33 area I think after earnings and now is in the 23's. Your article from the JPM downgrade 105 PT to 66 PT when MCP fell to like 42's implied a 60% or whatever gain from what they said. But here like you pointed out JPM downgraded PT's from 105 to 66 to 57 and now 39.

Who's to say MCP doesn't drop to like 15 - 18 area and they drop their PT to 29 or worse? At some point there must be value here if it ever gets back to an extreme area like say the IPO price. Amazing how they pushed this upto 79's based on rare earth prices and then crushed the momentum that was MCP. Like you said it's hard to get this back on track with everything that has happened.

I feel bad for all of us hurt by MCP tanking violently this year and even the big boys that bought 860 million dollars of stock during this years secondary at around 51 - 52 bucks a share. They will probably never see their original investment again. It's already more than cut in half and 23's is probably not the bottom. I don't have a clue anymore but teens seems likely.

What a brutal stock to say the least and the CEO & insiders are scumbags but hey when your making millions on what might be I don't blame them for selling. I'll never forget the first time Brian Kelly recommended MCP on Fast Money & wrote an article right here on Seeking Alpha "I love rare earths" something like this it hit the 79's. From there all downhill and I mean all downhill to 23 & counting.....PU on all of this  

Die "Großen" schöpfen die Sahne ab und die "Kleinen" bezahlen den ganzen "Spaß".

Zwar schlecht ... aber völlig legal.

Aber wie schon gesagt, bei Besserung des Klimas (Industrie, Finanzen ...) wirden auch die SE-Preise und der Kurs hochgehen.
Die Frage ist, wann wird das mal wieder sein?

Auf die Analystenmeinungen gebe ich keinen cent, denn auch bei den Kurszielen von weit über 100 Dollar haben sie doch auch völlig danebengelegen - oder?

Molycorp (MCP) - We have not been a fan of any of the rare earth metals (AVL, REE), citing significant valuations and speculative plays always having trouble over the long run. MCP, even now, still has a 25 P/E and while the long-term trend may be upward for MCP in the future, we think of it much like solar. Solar has a lot of potential, but it has no market love because the industry is still young and has much greater risk than othe energy sources. Rare earth compares the same way with other minerals. MCP just broke a key downward price channel today, and we expect more downside to occur for MCP into the beginning of the year. The stock could not even get much going when the company's CEO doubled his shares lately, not a good sign.

Molycorp Secures 78% of Phase 1 Rare Earth Production in Customer Agreements and XSORBX™ Production

GREENWOOD VILLAGE, Colo.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Molycorp, Inc. [NYSE: MCP] announced today that 78 percent of its Phase 1 rare earth production from its new Mountain Pass, California manufacturing facility, which comes online in 2012, has now been secured by signed customer agreements or has been committed to production of the Company's XSORBX™ water treatment products.

The company said it has entered into written agreements with customers covering 58% of its Phase I production, and has allocated an additional 20% to production of XSORBX™, for a total of 78% of the 19,050 metric tons of rare earth oxide (REO) equivalent that it intends to produce annually under Phase 1 at its flagship Mountain Pass, California rare earth facility. Exact terms, prices, duration, and products covered by these agreements vary from customer to customer. Another six percent of Phase 1 production is in final stage discussions with customers, the company added.

Molycorp intends to sell its proprietary, cerium-based XSORBX™ water treatment products across four market segments: municipal water treatment, recreational/pool/spa water, industrial wastewater, and drinking water purification. The Company currently is selling XSORBX™ to commercial customers in the municipal wastewater treatment and recreational/pool/spa markets.

“I am very pleased that we have met the Phase 1 off-take allocation target that we set for 2011, and have found a home for more than three-quarters of our Phase 1 production prior to start-up,” said Mark A. Smith, Molycorp’s President and Chief Executive Officer. “In an industry that traditionally has been driven by spot sales, Molycorp continues to break ground by moving customers to stable, secure, long-term supply contracts."

Na also, endlich kamen mal wieder ein paar gute Meldungen über Molycorp.
Nach den betriebwirtschaftliche Zahlen und dem Ausblick wird sogar geraten, den Anteil im Portfolio aufzustocken. SE-Preise werde vorauss. wieder stärker ansteigen.

Dahlman Rose & Co. hat eine Kaufempfehlung für die Aktie von Molycorp ausgesprochen ... aber leider wegen  einer Verwässerung durch die Molymet-Transaktion das Jursziel auf 50 US-$ gesenkt.

Aber 50 hören sich angenehmer an, als die von einigen Analysten in den Mund genommenen 30 .....

Genau, die Analysten mit "ihren" Kurszielen ... tssss

Man hat hier mal wieder deutlich gesehen, dass die Analysteneinschätzungen total daneben lagen. Warum hat dann niemand bei einem Wasserstand von über 70 USD im Frühling letzten Jahres bemerkt, der SE-Index würde drastisch in den Keller gehen und ein Kurs von 30 USD wären möglich?
Warum wurde erst kürzlich ein Szenario beschrieben, der SE-Preis würde dieses Jahr noch weiter abrutschen?

Deshalb fand ich solche Analysteneinschätzungen mit einem Kursziel von 30 Dollar spaßig :-) Warum sollten sie diesmal richtig liegen?

Diese Eischätzungen werde doch nicht gemacht, damit wir kleinen Leute Geld verdienen können. Diese Analysten werden von irgendwelchen Geldhäusern bzw. Gesellschaften bezahlt, in deren Interesse wird versucht, den Kurs zu drücken oder anzuheben. Die Empfehlung zum Kauf oder zum Abstoßen des Wertes sieht garantiert anders aus ... je nachdem, ob es der bekommt, der meine Lohntüte füllt oder ob wir nur damit beeinflusst werden sollen  .... bzw. wir "Allgemeinvolk" bekommen die Analysteneinschätzung verspätet.

Wenn man den Text durchliest, scheint es so, dass diese Dinge schon seit einiger Zeit bekannt sind und auch schon länger im Kurs schon eingepreist sind.
Aber nun kann man sich vorstellen, warum der Moly-Kurs immer mal Ende vorigen jahres so eingebrochen ist.
Kursrückgang trotz Verzwanzigfachung der Produktionsleistung ... Kurs sinkt, obwohl die Aktienindizes steigen usw.

Komisch, dass sich die Entwicklungen auf den Rohstoff- und Aktienmärkten sich nicht die Einschätzungen der Analysten halten - hehe.
Am Besten ist es immer noch, sich selbst ein Bild zu machen. Wenn China den SE-Handel so stark beschneidet und sich die Weltwirtschaft, insbesondere die "neuen Technologien", sich weiterhin positiv entwickeln .... warum sollte dann der SE-Preis so in den Keller gehen? Irgendwie fehlte mir bei dieser "Prognose" der Sinn.

Molycorp bald Eröffnung der Anlage, Lynas hat eine neue Klage am Hals.
Lynas steigt, bei Molycorp tut sich nichts.
Na mal sehen was mit Eröffnung des Dow kommt.

Die Börse ist wie ein kleines trotziges Kind.....

Weil der Quartalsbericht nicht ganz den Erwartungen entsprochen hat, wird der Wert abgestraft. Der Umsatz stieg ja "nur" um das sechsfache und es konnte trotz immensen Investitionen ein Gewinn eingefahren werden.
Tja, man erwartete ein Schlaraffenland und wurde enttäuscht. Das trotzige Kind verkauft ... obwohl, wie bei anderen Werten schon tausendfach gesehen, der vorige "Wasserstand" innerhalb von wenigen Tagen wieder da ist.

Wenn bei diesem Wert eine Kapitalmaßnahme nach der anderen kommt, dann wird nun für mich Molycorp auch immer unattraktiver.
Der Kursverlauf gstern sah so aus, wie wir ihn schon 2 mal in letzter Zeit gesehen haben.

Der Förderer von Seltenen Erden, Molycorp, übernimmt für 1,3 Milliarden Dollar in bar und Aktien das kanadische Unternehmen Neo Material Technologies. Damit bauen sich die Amerikaner auch ein Standbein in China auf.
Der Förderer von Seltenen Erden Molycorp stellt sich mit einem Zukauf breiter auf. Der US-Konzern übernimmt für 1,3 Milliarden Dollar in bar und Aktien das kanadische Unternehmen Neo Material Technologies. Molycorp-Chef Mark Smith sagte, durch die Übernahme würden die Förderkapazitäten der Mountain-Pass-Mine in Kalifornien mit den modernen Verarbeitungskapazitäten von Neo vereint. Die Amerikaner bauen sich mit dem Zukauf auch ein Standbein in China auf. In der Volksrepublik wie auch in Thailand, Deutschland und den USA betreibt Neo Werke und produziert dort unter anderem Magnetpuder. Molycorps Übernahmeangebot liegt 42 Prozent über dem Neo-Schlusskurs am Donnerstag an der Toronter Börse.

Die Seltenen Erden sind eine Gruppe von 17 Metallen. Sie sind unverzichtbar für die Herstellung beispielsweise von Smartphones wie Apples iPhone und Hybrid-Autos wie dem Prius von Toyota.
