Tue Dec 9, 2003 Tournigan Intersects High-Grade Gold Veins at Curraghinalt, N. Ireland
-------------------------------------------------- Tournigan Gold Corporation ("Tournigan") has intersected high-grade gold mineralization in recent drilling on the Curraghinalt gold project in Northern Ireland. Drillhole CT-05 returned assay values of 27.00 grams of gold per tonne (g/t) over 1.47 metres in the T-17 vein and 21.96 g/t over 1.67 metres in the No.1 vein. These results are typical of the high-grade nature of the ore-shoots in this area of the Curraghinalt deposit. This drilling is part of Tournigan's ongoing infill drilling at Curraghinalt, designed to advance the project towards a feasibility study and production.
In addition, assay results have been received from CT-04 which was the fourth and last diamond drill holes targeting southeast extensions of the Curraghinalt veins. The results from CT-04 demonstrate that the T-17, No.1 and 106-16 veins continue at least 400 metres to the southeast of the Curraghinalt resource block and therefore the potential to significantly increase the size of the Curraghinalt resource is considered excellent. Of note is that two of the other three drill holes (CT-1, CT-3) completed in the 400-m "southeast extension" intersected significant ore-grade and thickness intervals in all three of the major veins (T-17, No. 1, and 106-16); see Tournigan's press release dated October 1, 2003.
Recent results are summarized as follows:

Note: Previous estimates of the resource at Curraghinalt have used a 6 g/t gold cut-off grade over a minimum mining width of 1.25 metres.
The infill drilling program at Curraghinalt is designed to intersect each of the veins at 30 metre spacing in order to define the vein mineralization in detail and to upgrade the classification of the Curraghinalt resource to the "measured" category. The above results have in general verified the widths and tenor of previous drilling on the known veins. In addition at several locations the recent drilling has intersected gold mineralization above the cut-off of 6 g/t gold over a minimum mining width of 1.25 metres in blocks that had been designated waste in previous resource calculations, thereby changing the "waste-blocks" into "ore-blocks" that will be included in the new resource estimate.
Tournigan's Quality Assurance/Quality Control Program Tournigan has implemented a Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) program as part of all geochemical sampling, sample shipping and sample analysis procedures, for drilling, rock sampling, and soil and stream sediment sampling programs. QA/QC procedures include chain-of-custody protocol and systematic submittal of blank samples and duplicate samples. Assays reported by Tournigan represent a mix of provisional and final assays by OMAC Laboratories in Ireland, as no significant variance has been noted. The Qualified Person at Curraghinalt is Dr. Kent Ausburn - see Tournigan's press release dated November 5, 2003 for further details.
Management Michael Hopley has resigned as Chief Operating Officer for Tournigan in order to pursue other opportunities. He will remain as an active member of the board of directors. The Board thanks Mr. Hopley for his considerable assistance in the acquisition and initial exploration of its projects in Northern Ireland, Slovakia and Central America.
