Hemopurifier - super Innovation

Ich bin vor kurzem per Zufall auf die Firma „Aethlon Medical“ in einem Artikel gestoßen. Dort wurde, wie ich persönlich finde, etwas umständlich und für Laien unverständlich über das  Ziel dieser BioTech-Firma geschrieben: Exosomen als Biomarker.
Da ich Biochemiker bin und in der Wissenschaft arbeite, hat mich diese Firma sehr interessiert. Ich forsche zwar nicht selbst an dem Thema Exosomen, aber meine Kollegen im Büro nebenan.
Da ich dank des Universitätszugang zu den Originalpublikationen/-studien zu diesem Thema Zugang habe, kann ich, nachdem ich mich durch einige Daten gewühlt habe, mit guten Gewissen sagen, das Konzept von  „Aethlon Medical“ ist nicht nur solide, sondern wäre wirklich ein medizinischer Durchbruch.
Aber was genau macht die Firma:
Über das Produkt „Hemopurifier“ habe ich mich am meisten informiert:
Ursprünglich ist es nur dazu gedacht gewesen, durch Dialysen (Blutwasche) Patienten von Viren zu befreien. An sich schon ein ziemlich cooles Konzept. An unsere Uni arbeiten auch einige Forschergruppen an einem ähnlichen Verfahren. Allerdings scheint ihnen „Aethlon Medical“  einige Schritte (Meilen) voraus zu sein.
Jetzt hat sich aber offenbar ergeben, dass der „Hemopurifier“ auch Exosomen aus dem Blut filtert.
Ganz kurz: Exosomen sind kleine Blasen die unter bestimmten Umständen von Zellen abgeschnürt werden. Je nachdem was für Umstände vorliegen, sind diese Bläschen mit unterschiedlichen Biomolekülen beladen. Hat man die Bläschen/Exosomen erstmal mit dem „Hemopurifier“ aus dem Blut gewonnen, kann man untersuchen welche Biomoleküle in den Exosomen vorhanden sind.
Damit kann man beispielsweise auf verschiedene Krebsarten/Tumore oder Alzheimer rückschließen.
Generell kann man zusammenfassen, dass der „Hemopurifier“, sofern er sich bewährt ein unverzichtbares medizinisches Produkt für Diagnose und Behandlung von Krankheiten wird. Ich bin sehr gespannt!

SAN DIEGO, Oct. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Aethlon Medical, Inc. (NASDAQ:OTCQB:AEMD), announced today the first use of Hemopurifier® therapy on a patient infected with Ebola virus. The treatment was administered to a Ugandan doctor at the Frankfurt University Hospital in Germany. The patient, who is also a World Health Organization (WHO) worker, contracted the virus in Sierra Leone.

The Aethlon Hemopurifier® is a first-in-class bio-filtration device that targets the rapid elimination of viruses and immunosuppressive proteins from the circulatory system of infected individuals. At present, no antiviral therapy or vaccine has proven to be effective against Ebola virus infection in humans. The largest ebola virus epidemic in history is now spreading on a global basis with more than 4,000 deaths being reported by the WHO.

In the care of ebola-infected individuals, the Hemopurifier targets two unmet medical needs: the rapid elimination of circulating ebola to inhibit continued progeny virus replication and the direct targeting of shed glycoproteins that overwhelm the host immune response. The device can be deployed for use within the global infrastructure of dialysis and CRRT machines already located in hospitals and clinics.

Aethlon further disclosed that it is preparing to initiate U.S. clinical studies of Hemopurifier therapy based on the United States Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) approval of an Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) that was previously submitted by the Company. The study will contribute safety data to advance the device as a broad-spectrum countermeasure against pandemic threats, including ebola and chronic viral pathogens such as HIV and Hepatitis C (HCV).

To date, Hemopurifier therapy has been successfully administered in approximately one hundred treatment experiences in health compromised HIV and HCV infected individuals. These studies were conducted at the Apollo Hospital, Fortis Hospital, Sigma New Life Hospital, and the Medanta Medicity Institute, all located in India. In vitro validation studies that demonstrated the ability of the Hemopurifier to capture Zaire and other strains of ebola virus were conducted by researchers at the United States Army Medical Research Institute for Infectious Diseases (USAMRIID) and the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).  

Aethlon med. ist hier auf einem sehr guten Weg.
Es ist schon super, dass das Vertrauen bei den Ärzten in Frankfurt für den Hemopurifier so groß ist, um ihn direkt einzusetzen.
Aber auch die ersten Studien zeigen ja, dass der Hemopurifier wirklich in der Lage ist die Viruslast im Körper zu vermindern. Dadurch gibt es sehr, sehr gute Chancen, dass sich der Hemopurifier als unterstützende Maßnahme bei der Behandlungen von Viruserkrankungen (HIV, Hepatitis, ...) durchsetzt; was einen Millionenmarkt darstellt.

Und das sind nur die Behandlungen von Viruserkrankungen. Wenn sich auch die positiven Auswirkungen bei der Krebstherapie bewahrheiten, hat Aethlon med hier ein kleines Wunderwerk erschaffen.

Zusammengefasst: Der Patient wurde geheilt. Der Einsatz des Hemopurifiers während der Dialyse hat die Virenmenge im Körper des Patienten drastisch verringert. Es wurde auf 0.25 % der Menge  vor der Dialyse gedrückt. Was eine Abnahme von 99.75% also fast 100% ser Virenmenge bedeutet.
Die geringe Menge die übrig blieb stellte dann kein Problem mehr für Immunsystem und antivirale Mittel dar.

Klar ist Ebola trotz des Ausbruches in Westafrika eher eine Nische. Aber Aethlon Medical hat bereits erfolgreiche Tests mit anderen Viren wie HIV und Hepatitis C durchgeführt. Krankheiten die weltweit von großer Bedeutung sind und wo der Hemopurifier eine mögliche Heilung darstellt.

Kurz gesagt: Der Hemopurifier hat seinen Fähigkeit unter Beweis gestellt und glänzend abgeschnitten.
Die Zukunft, in die Aethlon Medical steuert, ist spannend!

 

 

Der Hemopurifier wurde durch die FDA für Notfallanwendungen in den USA zugelassen. Damit darf der Hemopurifier bei Ebola-Patienten nun auch eingesetzt werden, ohne dass auf das Ende der bürokratisch langwierigen Zulassungsprozedur gewartet werden muss.

Aethlon disclosed that four Hemopurifiers have been shipped to the Biocontainment Unit at the Nebraska Medical Center (NMC) in Omaha as a therapeutic option to be stockpiled for Ebola patients that may be treated at the NMC.  Aethlon further disclosed that it has provided onsite training to NMC clinical personnel related to the implementation of Hemopurifier® therapy within the dialysis infrastructure already located at the center.

The Nebraska Biocontainment Unit was commissioned by The United States Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in 2005.  It is a joint project involving Nebraska Medicine, Nebraska Health and Human Services, and the University of Nebraska Medical Center. It was designed to provide the first line of treatment for people affected by bioterrorism or extremely infectious naturally occurring diseases such as Ebola. It's the largest facility of its kind in the U.S. The NMC has treated three Ebola patients since the current outbreak. Aethlon previously reported the successful administration of Hemopurifier® therapy to a Ugandan doctor who was infected with Ebola virus and treated at the Frankfurt University Hospital in Germany. At the time Hemopurifier® therapy was administered, the doctor was unconscious and suffered from multiple organ failure.  His viral load prior to the administration of a single 6.5-hour Hemopurifier® treatment was measured at 400,000 virus copies per milliliter of blood (copies/ml). Post-treatment viral load was measured at 1,000 copies/ml and never again rose above that level. Viral load became undetectable five days after therapy.  The treatment was well tolerated with no adverse events reported.  Additionally, a post-treatment elution protocol verified that 242 million Ebola viruses were captured within the Hemopurifier® during treatment.  The doctor has since made a full recovery and has returned home to his family in Uganda.

In the United States, Hemopurifier® therapy is available to treat Ebola patients through FDA expanded access "emergency use" provisions to address life threatening circumstances for which an alternative therapy is not available. At present, no antiviral therapy or vaccine has proven to be effective against Ebola virus infection in humans.  Aethlon disclosed that it provided Hemopurifiers to the NMC on a humanitarian basis and therefore will not generate revenues as a result of its initial shipment.

Ich weiss die aktie ist hot doch leider gibt es seit ende september ne regelung wo man keine OTC werte handeln,schon garnicht ueber flatex siehe otc handel auf flatex.leider.....
