ClickableOil Announces 37% Increase In Gallons Sold For January Thursday March 2, 8:30 am ET Over $5 Million In Revenue Still Expected For Fiscal 2006
MOUNT VERNON, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 2, 2006--Clickable Enterprises, Inc. (OTCBB: CKEI - News), the first Internet-based home heating oil company, announced today that it sold 349,000 gallons of heating oil to residential and commercial customers in January 2006, compared with 254,659 gallons during the same period in 2005, for a 37% increase.
Nicholas Cirillo, Jr., president of Clickable Enterprises said, " We recognize that a 37% sales increase for January is significant as it reflects the consumer's need to seek out a lower-cost provider of home heating oil, and reinforces the value of our business structure and vision to consumers. This increase is particularly noteworthy since weather this January was 28% warmer than average in terms of degree days, which directly and adversely impacted the number of gallons sold" . Cirillo added, " Our revenue outlook remains high for fiscal 2006, which comes to a close at the end of March, with expectations that total year revenue will be in excess of $5 million. If achieved, this will more than double the $2.4 million we recorded during fiscal 2005."
Revenue for January 2006 increased to $796,000 from $396,000, or $400,147, compared to January 2005. This 101% increase in revenue is due to the aforementioned increase in gallons sold, as well as a 47% increase in average selling price compared to the prior year period.
The company's successful run with Google, Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG - News), the world's largest Internet search engine, has contributed to the increase in gallons sold. The agreement between Google and the company features ClickableOil.com in a highly visible sponsor section once a Google search using well-known home heating oil keywords is performed. The sponsor section effectively highlights the company as a low-cost fuel supplier in market areas including Nassau and Suffolk counties on Long Island, Westchester county, most of New York City, New Jersey and parts of Pennsylvania. If an interested party " clicks-through" the party is immediately directed to the company's website where one can easily sign up and become a customer.
