(SeeNews) - Jun 4, 2014 - Spanish wind turbine maker Gamesa (MCE:GAM) said on Tuesday that it would receive an EUR-350-million (USD 476m) revolving credit facility, seeking to enhance its long-term financial structure and extend its debt maturity profile.
The financing, maturing in 2018, will be extended by group of 16 domestic and international lender. It is to be paid down in a single bullet in four years. Gamesa noted that the new loan will be added to its other undrawn facilities estimated at EUR 1.8 billion as of the middle of June.
Last month, the Spanish wind turbine manufacturer said it had boosted its first-quarter 2014 net profit to EUR 17 million from EUR 7 million a year ago as revenues improved by 16.8% to EUR 573 million due to increased wind turbine production and better results of the company’s operations and maintenance (O&M) services business. Wind turbine sales in January-March were up 27.1% to 567 MW.

There could be other financial repercussions. Several Spain-based companies recently received 15 million euros, or $20 million, from the European Union to fund wind power innovation and operations. But the EU has harshly criticized efforts by Spanish leaders to cut investments in the field. Investors are also unhappy because Spain is talking about rolling back projects already promised, according to Moreno.
With subsidies cut, companies will have to rely solely on profits from selling electricity to consumers, which could cause electricity costs to rise even higher as investors try to replace the funds missing after the subsidy cuts.
Acciona, a large energy company based in northern Spain near the border of France, announced that its energy department, which is mainly wind, posted a pre-tax profit of 12 million euro, or just above $16 million. That’s nearly a 70 percent drop from the same time last year. The quarterly earnings press release attributed this to energy subsidy reforms which cut funding company-wide by 81 million euro, or $110 million......

has reinforced its presence in the Philippines thanks to a new turnkey contract for the construction, supply and installation of a 54 MW wind farm for Alternergy. This marks the third contract closed by Gamesa in this market, having signed orders totalling 144 MW in recent months.
Gamesa will install 27 of its G90-2.0 MW turbines in the Pililla wind farm, located on the Philippine island of Luzón. The company will also provide the operations and maintenance (O&M) services at the facility for five years. Under the terms of the agreement, Gamesa will also build the infrastructure needed to install and operate the facility, including a substation. The civil and electrical works will be executed by Gamesa together with the local Philippine consortium CASA which is formed by Cendaur, Ati Consulting, Santa Clara and Airnergy. The wind farm is scheduled for completion during 2015.

Gamesa, a global technology leader in the wind power industry, has secured a contract with the Greek company Terna Energy to provide operation and maintenance (O&M) services on 116 MW located in Poland and Bulgaria for a period of five years.
The company has thereby renewed the existing maintenance service agreement covering 52 G90-2.0 MW and on 6 G97-2.0 MW wind turbines, installed the last 4 years in 7 wind farms in Poland and in 2 wind farms in Bulgaria.

Insgesamt geht es um 25 Windkraftanlagen des Typs G97-2.0 MW. Der Vertrag beinhaltet neben der schlüsselfertigen Realisierung auch den Betrieb und die Instandhaltung der Anlagen für 20 Jahre. Ausgeliefert sollen die Turbinen im Verlauf dieses Jahres. Mitte 2015 sollen dann alle Anlagen in Betrieb gehen. An der Finanzierung des Projektes hat sich auch die Ex-und Import Bank der Vereinigten Staaten beteiligt. Was denkst du,wie sich das auf dem Gesamtmarkt auswirken wird? Zumal ja GE den Zuschlag bei Alstom bekommen hat und die Windsparte derer auch evtl. zu Areva gehen soll?
Das wäre das Know how von 3 verschiedenen Anlagentypen...zusammengefasst in ??? Ich werds weiter beobachten. Ich schau hier nicht allzu oft rein bei Gamesa,da dieses Papier zur Zeit für mich nicht attraktiv ist,aber wenn du neue Meldungen hast,darfst du sie mir gerne auch per BM schicken :-)

Anfang Juli sorgten Details einer spektakulären Kooperation für Furore in der internationalen Windenergie-Szene: Die beiden Schwergewichte Gamesa und Areva bündeln ihre Kräfte im Offshore-Geschäft und wollen gemeinsam einen erheblichen Marktanteil erobern. Sowohl der spanische Windanlagenbauer Gamesa als auch der französische Industrie- und Energiekonzern Areva bringen Erfahrung mit Windmühlen für Windparks auf hoher See mit.
Beide Unternehmen haben eigens entwickelte Offshore-Turbinen im Einsatz. Während Gamesa jedoch noch am Anfang seiner Offshore-Aktivitäten steht - die Spanier können erst einen Prototypen auf Gran Canaria vorweisen -, hat Areva schon seit 2008 mehr als 100 Anlagen im Meer installiert und verfügt zudem über ein gut gefülltes Auftragsbuch......
...Areva und Gamesa wollen bis zum Jahr 2020 einen Marktanteil von 20 Prozent in Europa erobern. Die Spanier steuern unter anderem 20 Jahre Erfahrung aus der Entwicklung von Onshore-Anlagen bei, eine große Zuliefererkette und Fachwissen aus Installation und Betrieb von Anlagen. Die Franzosen bringen ihr Offshore-Geschäft in das noch namenlose Unternehmen ein. Dazu gehören auch die Produktionsstandorte in Bremerhaven und Stade. An der Weser entstehen Windturbinen, an der Elbe Rotorblätter.
Damit formiert sich in der Windenergiebranche binnen weniger Monate eine zweite schlagkräftige, mit prominenten Partnern besetzte Industrie-Kooperation. Schon Anfang April hatte der dänische Windenergieanlagen-Hersteller Vestas ein Offshore-Joint Venture mit dem japanischen Industrie-Moloch Mitsubishi bekannt gegeben.
Die beiden Gemeinschaftsunternehmen mit den internationalen Schwergewichten dürften vor allem für Siemens eine Bedrohung darstellen. Denn die Münchner sind unangefochtener Weltmarktführer, wenn es um Windmühlen auf den Meeren geht.....
Doch nicht nur immer größere Rotoren und die zunehmende, kostengünstigere Standardisierung bei der Produktion sollen der Garant für niedrigere Kosten für erzeugten Windstrom sein. Auch in punkto Logistik und beim Aufbau von Fundamenten lässt sich Geld sparen. Dann, so prognostiziert es ein Siemens-Manager, könnten die Kosten für Offshore-Windstrom bis 2020 auf zehn Cent je Kilowattstunde gesenkt werden.......
Mit den Verträgen verpflichtet sich Gamesa, Anlagen mit einer Leistung von 190 MW für einen Windpark in den USA zu liefern. Weitere 100 MW gehen an ein Projekt in Mexiko.
Windpark-Projekte: Rahmenvertrag mit EDP über 450 MW So sollen im Rahmen des Vertrages mit EDP Renováveis (EDPR) 95 Turbinen vom Typ G114-2.0 MW für den Waverly Windpark im Coffey County in Kansas geliefert werden. Laut Gamesa ist die Auslieferung der Turbinen für das dritte Quartal 2015 geplant. Mit der Inbetriebnahme des Projektes wird Ende 2015 gerechnet. Die 95 Turbinen sollen dabei mit Hard- und Software-Modifikationen ausgestattet sein, die die Leistung der Turbinen von 2 MW auf 2,1 MW steigern können.
Der nun unterzeichnete Vertrag ist Teil eines Rahmenvertrages zwischen Gamesa und EDPR, der bis 2016 Lieferungen von bis zu 450 MW in die USA vorsieht. Gleichzeitig stellt der Rahmenvertrag den bisher größten Auftrag für die Turbinen des Typs G114-2.0 MW dar. Insgesamt hat Gamesa bereits Turbinen mit einer Gesamtleistung von rund 1.500 MW an EDPR geliefert. In den USA hat Gamesa bereits knapp 4.000 MW installiert und betreut zurzeit 1.400 MW im Rahmen von Serviceverträgen.
Gamesa Marktführer in Mexiko Der in Mexiko mit einem Versorger abgeschlossene Vertrag sieht die Lieferung und Installation von Windturbinen mit einer Gesamtleistung von 100 MW vor. Für einen Windpark in Zentral-Mexiko soll Gamesa 50 Anlagen des Typs G97-2.0 MW liefern und installieren. Die Auslieferung ist für das erste Quartal 2015, die Inbetriebnahme für das letzte Quartal 2015 geplant. .....

Madrid – Bei Gamesa stapeln sich die Großaufträge. Bereits zum zweiten Mal in dieser Woche berichtet der spanische Windenergieanlagen-Hersteller über neue Projekte, die sich in Summe auf über 500 Megawatt (MW) belaufen.
Die nun gemeldeten Aufträge kommen aus Indien und beinhalten die Lieferung von 110 Windenergieanlagen mit einer Leistung von 220 MW. Am Mittwoch hatte Gamesa schon über Aufträge aus den USA und aus Mexiko mit einer Windenergieleistung von zusammen 290 MW berichtet.
Fünf Windparks für Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan und Karnataka Die neue Bestellung aus Indien betrifft insgesamt fünf Windparks. Zusammengenommen sollen dort insgesamt 110 Anlagen des Typs G97-2.0 MW installiert werden. Die drei Kunden zählen zu den größten unabhängigen Stromerzeugern im Windenergiemarkt und werden nicht genannt. Die Windparks befinden sich in den indischen Bundesstaaten Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan und Karnataka.

In the first half of 2013, Europe and the rest of the world accounted for 32% of total revenues. This reflects Gamesa's move away from its home market of Spain due to the collapse of the wind industry there, in search of alternative markets.
....The wind group added 801MW of orders in the second quarter of the year, meaning it ended the first half with a 1.91GW order book – a 24% uplift on the June 2013 situation.
