Im Zusammenhang mit der amerikanischen Sanktionen gegen den Kreml für seine Handlungen in der Ukraine , Mastercard und Visa haben in Russland gestoppt Verarbeiten bestimmter Transaktionen. Der Umzug hat einige digitale Währung Bitcoin -Enthusiasten inspiriert , zu den weltweit führenden Krypto Währung schlagen , als eine Lösung für Russlands Geldprobleme .

Bitcoin Popularität in Russland ist nicht universal.In Januar hat die Zentralbank gewarnt , dass die Regierung jegliche Verwendung von Bitcoins als potenzielle Geldwäsche oder Terrorismusfinanzierung zu behandeln. Monate später jedoch aufgeweicht Beamte ihre Position in der digitalen Währung und weigerte sich, eine vollständige Verbot von Bitcoins unterstützen. Verordnung nicht Verbot , war nun das Wort des Tages.

Bitcoins werden derzeit als Zahlung in mehreren Online -und Offline- Geschäfte und Hotels in ganz Russland akzeptiert. Das Land an fünfter Stelle in der globalen Nutzer, mit 204.502 . (Die vier Nationen vor Russland sind die Vereinigten Staaten mit 1.133.272 Nutzern , China, mit 368.004 , Deutschland mit 247.658 und Großbritannienmit 220.145 . )

Auf Vkontakte , Russland beliebtesten sozialen Online- Netzwerk gibt es eine Gruppe, die Bitcoins mit mehr als sechzehntausend Mitglieder gewidmet . VK Gründer Pavel Durov , hat die Krypto - Währung lobte spöttisch Vergleich mit russischen offiziellen gesetzlichen Zahlungs , der Rubel :
