Gruss E.Taser beats Wall Street's Q4 forecast, ups 2004 revs (5:24 PM ET) SAN FRANCISCO (CBS.MW) -- Shares of Taser International(TASR: news, chart, profile)gained more than 12 percent in after-hours trading Monday after the stun-gun maker reported fourth-quarter earnings and a 2004 forecast that blew past Wall Street's expectations. Scottsdale, Ariz.-based Taser posted earnings of $2.8 million, or 56 cents a share, vs. $67,498, or 2 cents a share, the year before. Sales rose to $10.8 million from $2.8 million. Two analysts polled by Reuters Research had been looking for a profit of 31 cents a share on sales of $6.4 million. For 2004, Taser said it expects sales to come in at $49 million, double that of 2003's $24.5 million. Analysts are currently looking for sales of $30.1 million for 2004. Taser's shares added $16.48 in late trade, to $151.50.
