TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Jan. 29, 2007) - Forsys Metals Corp.
("Forsys" or the "Company") (TSX:FSY) is pleased to announce the appointment
of Mr. Dag Kullmann to the position of Manager, Engineering and Dr. Lima
Maartens to the position of Environmental Manager. Mr. Kullmann and Dr.
Maartens are based in Windhoek, Namibia.

Mr. Kullmann is a Mining Engineer (M.Sc. from the University of Alberta,
Canada) with 18 years of experience in the precious, base metals, diamonds and
coal mining industry throughout Africa and within Central Asia and Eastern
Europe.

Mr. Kullmann joined the Company\'s wholly owned subsidiary, Westport Resources,
from Snowden Mining Industry Consultants ("Snowden") in Johannesburg where he
managed Snowden\'s South African mining engineering division. Mr. Kullman\'s
mining and geotechnical consulting experience includes mine design, equipment
selection, labour and training requirements and project financial modelling.
His project management experience includes the completion of several
feasibility and pre-feasibility studies for coal, iron ore and base metals
projects. Mr. Kullmann has acted as a competent person for several large and
small mining companies for the completion of reserve reporting and listing
documentation for the JSE, AIM, ASX and TSX.

Prior to joining Snowden in 1999, Mr. Kullmann worked in the South African
gold and platinum mining industries with four years experience with Anglo
American Corporation and seven years with the Council for Scientific and
Industrial Research\'s Division of Mining Technology.

Mr. Kullmann will be heading the Company\'s completion of the pre-feasibility
and feasibility studies for the Valencia Uranium Project.

Dr. Maartens is an Environmental Scientist (Ph.D. from the Rhodes University,
South Africa) with 13 years of experience primarily in the marine environment
in southern Africa.

Dr. Maartens joined Westport Resources from De Beers Marine Namibia where she
was employed as a Senior Environmental Scientist. Dr. Maartens\' management
experience during her tenure as the Environmental Coordinator for the De Beers
Marine Namibia and Namdeb Diamond Corporation\'s Marine Dredging Project
includes research and monitoring components of ISO 14001 Environmental
Management System. Dr. Maartens was also integrally involved in De Beers
Marine Namibia\'s Environmental Stakeholder Engagement Process.

Dr. Maartens will be responsible for the Company\'s environmental aspects
related to the Valencia Uranium Project as well as the Company\'s additional
exploration projects.

Forsys Metals Corp. announces that it has granted an aggregate of 110,000
stock options to the in connection to these appointments subject to regulatory
approval. Each option entitles the holder thereof to acquire one (1) common
share of the Company at an exercise price of $5.69 per common share prior to
the close of business on January 02, 2012.
