Given the recent move, I am impressed by the lack of profit taking in the stock. There has been a trickle of selling down to the low $1.40's, and lots of bidding and buying to soak up anything coming out.
The Company is in NY at the Hard Rock show, and apparantly had a very successful outing.
What is interesting is a new buyer cropped up today - Nomura Securities (anyone heard of them?)
www.nomura.com - a multinational investment firm HQ'd in Japan. Very interesting!
While today's house positions show they bought only 22,200 shares, they were on the bid at $1.46 for another 53,400. Could this be the start of another major institution starting to position, on the heels of CIBC buying over 7 million between $1.20 and $1.70?
Also worth noting, Instinet came in for 100,000 (but did not get an entire fill); the board filled with bids following Nomura's buy; closed on the day high at $1.48.
Everything is pointing to a new upswing. My guess, this one could take us beyond $2.00.
