VeraSun Energy Delays Startup of Janesville, Minnesota, Ethanol Biorefinery
SIOUX FALLS, S.D., Nov. 4 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- VeraSun Energy Corp., one of the nation's largest ethanol producers, today announced that it is indefinitely delaying the startup of its 110 million gallon per year (MMGY) ethanol biorefinery in Janesville, Minn. VeraSun will continue operations at its 14 facilities across an eight-state region.

VeraSun filed voluntary petitions for relief under chapter 11 of the U.S. Bankruptcy Code in the United States Bankruptcy Court on Friday, Oct. 31 to enhance liquidity while it reorganizes. However, at this time, the secured lender of the plant has not provided the necessary financing to continue construction and startup activities. Efforts to secure financing for Janesville are underway.

Construction on the Janesville facility is nearly completed and the plant was scheduled to begin operations prior to the end of the year. Construction began in January 2007 and ownership of the plant moved under VeraSun on April 1, 2008, following its merger with US BioEnergy. Most of the 53 employees will be furloughed immediately.

Bankrupt VeraSun posts third-quarter loss

NEW YORK, Nov 20 (Reuters) - Ethanol maker VeraSun Energy Corp VSUNQ.PK, which filed for bankruptcy protection last month, posted a net loss for the third quarter hurt by charges and high costs for corn used to make the fuel.

Net loss for the quarter was $476.1 million versus net income of $7.8 million in the year-ago quarter, the company said in a statement late on Wednesday.

Included in that loss were non-cash charges of $384.5 million. The Sioux Falls, South Dakota, company said it had taken a $263.3 million goodwill impairment related to two acquisitions and $121.2 to write down the value of long-lived assets.

Revenues rose by 389 percent to $1.08 billion.

VeraSun had said it has suffered from locking in prices for corn at high prices in July, even as prices for gasoline and ethanol weakened.

Das ist die chance auf Profit.....VERASUN ENERGY ist so gut im Markt das mit der neuen Politik von Obama nur alles besser werden kann!!

Ich habe Heute zumindest gekauft und werde noch zukaufen.

Jetzt ist bekannt geworden das Biokraftstoffe von Obama Regierung ernorm stark gefördert werden.

Man kann bei dem Preis von Verasun nur Einsteigen(0,05)und das ohne großes Risilo!!

 

Verasun ist nach den Eindeutigen Hilfen der  US-Regierung und dem Verkauf einige Werke wieder ein ganz klare Kauf.Ich sehe die Aktie bei ca € 0,15-0,25 in den nächten 2-3 Monaten.Außerdem muß nach den neuen US-Gesetzen wieder mehr Ethano Beigemischt werden und gibt in der Industie wieder neuen Schwung.  

ich bin hier wieder im plus, obwohl ich die Bude schon als Depotleiche eingestuft hatte, Alles ist wieder gut, ich frag mich nur warum. Gibt's was Neues?
