Gamesa sei bereits zum zweiten Mal hintereinander der führende Erstausrüster in Indien. Der Vorsprung zum zweitplatzierten Hersteller sei dabei weiter ausgebaut worden. Gamesas Marktanteil betrage inzwischen 32 Prozent (2013: 21 Prozent).Wie Gamesa weiter berichtet, hätten die Experten von BTM Consult das weitere Marktpotenzial in Indien betont. Dort rechnen die Marktexperten in den kommenden Jahren mit einer stetigen neuinstallierten Windenergie-Leistung von rund 3.000 Megawatt (MW) pro Jahr.

Gamesas Marktanteil in Mexiko beträgt über 70 Prozent
Besonders beeindruckend ist Gamesas Marktanteil in Mexiko. Fast drei von vier neuen Turbinen stammten 2014 von Gamesa. Der Marktanteil wird auf 72,6 Prozent beziffert. Insgesamt wurden 2014 in Mexiko laut Global Wind Energy Council (GWEC) neue Anlagen mit einer Leistung von gut 520 MW neu installiert.

n Brasilien habe das Unternehmen seinen zweiten Platz verteidigt. Der Marktanteil dort beläuft sich nach den Zahlen von BTM Consult auf 21,5 Prozent. Die beiden Windenergiemärkte Mexiko und Brasilien zusammen sollen auf ein Volumen von über 20.000 MW bis zum Jahr 2019 kommen. Der brasilianische Markt umfasste laut GWEC im Jahr 2014 insgesamt rund 2.470 MW.

Die Märkte in Lateinamerika und Indien seien in den vergangenen Jahren die wichtigsten Wachstums-Motoren für Gamesa gewesen. 2014 hat Gamesa dort 60 Prozent seiner Umsätze in Höhe von 2,85 Mrd. Euro eingefahren. Diese Zahlen unterstreichen auch Gamesas internationale Ausrichtung. Während das Unternehmen noch im Jahr 2000 lediglich fünf Prozent seiner Umsätze außerhalb von Spanien erzielt hat, waren es im vergangenen Jahr 100 Prozent.

Spanish wind turbine manufacturer Gamesa has inaugurated its first commercial office in Sri Lanka.

The base in the town of Katunayaka to the west of the island, near Colombo, will also carry out project work and maintain turbines installed locally.

Gamesa, which has 45.3MW of installed capacity in the region’s market, is Sri Lanka's leading OEM. It entered the region five years ago and has a market share of close to 40%.

amesa, a global technology leader in wind energy, has recently signed two new agreements for supply of an aggregate 260 MW. The first order, from Indian developer and independent power producer (IPP) Greenko, encompasses the supply, installation and commissioning of 80 of the company's G97-2.0 MW turbines (160 MW). Gamesa will install 30 turbines at Jaisalmer region, in the state of Rajasthan, and another 50 at Basavanabagewadi, in Karnataka. The turbines are slated for delivery during the first quarter of this year and the wind farms are expected to be commissioned by June 2015. The company will also operate and maintain all 80 turbines in the long term. This contract is included in a new framework agreement to commission 300 MW wind power projects in India, signed by Gamesa and Greenko. The second phase of 140 MW is expected to be secured during the second quarter of the year, in different wind farms located in the states of Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. The second order, placed by Indian developer CLP India, covers turnkey construction of a 100-MW wind farm at Chandgargh, Madhya Pradesh. The company, which will handle all of the infrastructure needed to install and operate the complex, will install 50 G97-2.0 MW turbines and also service them in the long term. The turbines are due for delivery during the first half of this year and the wind farm will be commissioned in December 2015. Both the 80 turbines will be its G97-2.0 MW Class S make, with a tower height of 104 metres, a new model specifically designed for low wind speed sites in the Indian market.

April 9 (SeeNews) - The Brazilian government said yesterday it intends to launch a BRL 20 billion (USD 6.5bn/EUR 6bn) investment fund to help expand by 8,000 MW the renewable energy generation capacity in the northeast.

The fund, which will mainly back wind and solar projects, should be ready in the upcoming days, said the energy minister Eduardo Braga at the Senate's Committee on Infrastructure Services conference.

The proposal was structured by BNDESPar, a subsidiary of the National Social and Economic Development Bank (BNDES), and is formed with public and private resources. Federal utility Chesf will hold a stake of 49% in the fund, while the other 51% will come from large investors.

Elsewhere, the agreement reached with Fujian Energy encompasses the supply, installation and commissioning of 24 of the firm's G97-2.0 MW turbines at the Dingyanshan wind farm located in the province of Fujian. These turbines are custom-designed to withstand the extreme winds typical of this coastal area which is often hit by typhoons. These turbines are due for delivery during the fourth quarter of 2015 so the project can be commissioned by the end of the year.

In total, Gamesa has secured orders for the supply of 130 MW from Fujian Energy, for whom it recently completed assembly of the 48-MW Dahanshan wind farm, also located in the province of Fujian.
Gamesa's ability to tailor its turbines to its customers' individual needs, coupled with its command of the wind value chain, have enabled it to consolidate its presence in the Chinese market, where the company notched up orders in 2014 for the supply of 450 MW. Gamesa's presence in China, where it has emerged as one of the leading non-Chinese OEMs, dates back 15 years, having installed over 3,570 MW and with 960 MW under maintenance. China accounted for 9% of Gamesa's total MW sold in 2014.
 

The blades of the G132-5.0 MW, each 64.5 metres in length, are the longest ever transported in Spain.
Gamesa has begun the task of assembling its prototype G132-5.0 MW turbine, which will be equipped with one of the world's largest onshore rotors. To this end it has replaced the blades of the G128-5.0 MW, which has been in operation at the R&D facility in Alaiz (Navarre, Spain) for a year, with those of the G132-5.0 MW, with a view to enabling the turbine to begin to produce energy from the beginning of May.

This assembly job constitutes a logistical challenge for Gamesa: the blades of the G132-5.0 MW, each 64.5 metres in length, are the longest ever transported in Spain and were brought in a single piece from the factory in Aoiz, where they were made, to the R&D facility in Alaiz. The complexity of the transfer required the individual transportation of each blade.

Completion of the assembly work will kick-start the turbine validation and testing process with a view to obtaining type certification by the end of 2015, a prerequisite for industrialising and commercialising this model.

To this end, in addition to the prototype's three blades, the company has made a fourth blade for testing at CENER, Spain's national renewable energy centre. The static tests have already been completed and the fatigue tests (vertical and horizontal movements) are underway; these tests will take 5 months. All of these tests will also help to certify the blade to be installed in the G132-5.0 MW offshore model.

NEW DELHI: Big wind energy companies in India such as Gamesa, Mytrah and Suzlon are all diversifying into solar space this year with plans to invest several hundred million dollars in the next five years in installing thousands of solar megawatts, given the government's impetus to the sector.

While London's Alternative Investment Market (AIM)-listed Mytrah Energy (India) Ltd, which is an independent power producer, plans to invest a total of $400 million, of which $100 million would be in equity over the next one year solely in setting up its solar business, Gamesa India will invest euros 200 million over the next two years for its overall operations, as it diversifies into solar space this year.
The Indian subsidiary of Spanish wind turbine maker Gamesa, which has the largest wind energy market-share in the country, is  diversifying into solar power this year with plans to install 100 MW going up to 500 MW in the next two years.

Oil India, the nation's second largest state-owned oil explorer, today said it has commissioned a 54 MW wind energy project in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

Saddled between the two states, the project is split between a 16 MW capacity plant at Patan in Gujarat and a 38 MW at Chandgarh in Madhya Pradesh, the company said in a statement.

The project costs Rs 439 crore -- Rs 126.5 crore for the Gujarat side and Rs 312.45 crore for the Madhya Pradesh location....
OIL said the Patan wing of the project was commissioned on March 26 while the Chandgarh site was commissioned on March 31.

Errichtung eines 220-MW-Windparks mit anschließendem Service
Gamesa hat einen Auftrag zum schlüsselfertigen Bau eines Windparks an der ägyptischen Küste des Roten Meeres erhalten. Der Windpark soll 110 Turbinen des Typs G80-2.0 MW umfassen und somit auf eine Gesamtkapazität von 220 MW kommen. Das Projekt wurde von der NREA (New & Renewable Energy Authority) international ausgeschrieben und wird von der Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) finanziert. Nach der Fertigstellung des Baus, der im September 2015 beginnt, wird Gamesa die Operation & Maintenance (O&M) Dienstleistungen für den Windpark in den kommenden drei Jahren übernehmen. Laut Aussage von Gamesa können die oben genannten Windturbinen der hohen Temperatur in der Wüste und der korrosiven Atmosphäre trotzen. .....

Das Land Ägypten hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, bis zum Jahr 2020 mindestens 20 Prozent seiner Energie aus Erneuerbaren zu ziehen. Das würde bedeuten, dass die gegenwärtig installierte Leistung von etwa 700 MW auf 7.200 MW ausgebaut wird. Des Weiteren ist Gamesa auch in anderen afrikanischen Ländern aktiv: Tunesien, Marokko, Algerien, Mauretanien und Kenia. In ganz Afrika hat Gamesa 1.1000 MW Windenergie-Leistung installiert und betreut Anlagen mit der Leistung von 900 MW.

Gamesa has won a contract to supply turbines at the 50MW Maldonado 2 wind farm in south-eastern Uruguay.

The contract with developer Smartener covers supply, installation and commissioning of 25 of the Spanish manufacturer’s G114 2MW machines (pictured).

Gamesa has also signed a five-year O&M agreement at the project, which is sited in the departments of Maldonado and Lavalleja.

The deal for Maldonado 2 is Gamesa's first contract in Uruguay for the installation of the G114 2MW, a new turbine model designed to yield more power at lower cost at low and medium wind speed sites.

Gamesa Eólica has installed a logistics center for the loading, unloading and storing of larger goods such as auxiliary structures and main components on Dock A3 at the Port of Bilbao in Spain.

Annual traffic forecast for wind power components will be between 500,000 and 600,000 cubic meters, which is approximately equivalent to 45 new vessels berthing, Gamesa said in a statement.

By setting up in the Port of Bilbao, Gamesa will benefit from the competitive advantages of being at the dock front, which will bring about an improvement in their logistics while increasing its market.
 

Der spanische Hersteller Gamesa hat in den ersten drei Monaten des Jahres 2015 den Umsatz, das Ebit sowie den Nettogewinn gegenüber dem ersten Quartal des Vorjahres deutlich verbessert. Die Gamesa-Aktie legt im Handel am Donnerstag bislang um rund ein Prozent auf 12,25 Euro (Stand 10:08 Uhr, Börse Stuttgart).

Gamesas Ebit-Marge von 8 Prozent höher als bei Vestas
Gamesa hat im ersten Quartal 2015 den Umsatz gegenüber dem Vorjahr um 43 Prozent auf 820 Mio. Euro stark erhöht (Q1 2015: 573 Mio. Euro). Es wurden Windenergieanlagen mit einer Leistung von 712 Megawatt (MW) verkauft (Q1 2014: 567 MW). Das operative Ergebnis (Ebit) konnte sogar um 92 Prozent auf 66 Mio. Euro verbessert werden (Q1 2014: 34 Mio. Euro). Daraus ergibt sich eine Ebit-Marge von 8,0 Prozent (Q1 2014: 5,9 Prozent). Mit dieser Kennziffer steht Gamesa auch besser da als der dänische Konkurrent Vestas, der eine Ebit-Marge von 5,2 Prozent erzielt hat. Dafür war das Umsatzniveau bei Vestas mit 1,52 Mrd. Euro in etwa doppelt so hoch wie bei Gamesa. Der spanische Turbinen-Hersteller will auch im Gesamtjahr eine Ebit-Marge von mindesten 8 Prozent erreichen. In dieser Hinsicht ist Vestas mit einem Jahresziel von mindestens 8,5 Prozent noch ein wenig ehrgeiziger.

Gamesas wichtigste Märkte sind Indien und China
Gamesa hat zudem im ertsen Quartal 2015 einen Nettogewinn von 62 Mio. Euro erwirtschaftet. Das bedeutet eine Steigerung gegenüber dem Vorjahr um den Faktor 3,6 (Q1 2014: 17 Mio. Euro). Gamesa hat in den ersten drei Monaten 2015 feste Aufträge in einem Umfang von 818 MW erhalten. Das entspricht 83 Prozent der Umsatzguidance für das Gesamtjahr 2015 (2.800 bis 3.100 MW). Wie Gamesa erklärt, seien die Verbesserungen vor allem auf gute Verkaufs-Aktivitäten und anhaltende Verbesserung der Unternehmens-Profitabilität zurückzuführen. Zudem habe der Start des Offshore-Joint-Ventures Adwen mit Areva einen positiven Finanz-Effekt mit sich gebracht. Das Wachstum kommt laut Gamesa vor allem aus Märkten wie Indien und China, wo jeweils über 20 Prozent der Quartalsumsätze eingefahren wurden  

SPAIN: Gamesa has recorded pre-tax earnings of €66 million in the first quarter of 2014, an increase of 92% year on year.

Most of the Spanish manufacturer's activity came from outside Europe. India (27%) and China (24%) made up over half of the company's orders in the quarter.

Gamesa said its net profit of €62 million – against €17 million last year – was due to greater profitability and the "extraordinary positive impact" of the offshore joint venture Adwen.The manufacturer claimed Adwen had a €18.5 million positive impact on net profit.
