Nordex: China’s New Wind Power Wonder March 9, 2011 No Comments Nordex Wind Power Equipment Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Nordex), in Ningxia province has won an order from the FFC Energy Company of Pakistan. Nordex is part of the German based Nordex group of companies. After two years of negotiation, Nordex stood out in a group of ten wind power equipment manufacturers from both China and abroad.
Nordex will be exporting thirty-three 1.5 MW wind generators to FFC Energy. The reasons cited for choosing Nordex were its “high quality and levels of service”. This order is the first export order for Chinese built wind turbines.
Nordex’s Ningxia annual turnover is steady at more than 500 million RMB. Nordex wind power generators have been shown to produce 25% more electricity than comparable generators. These thirty-three generators will be used in the first wind power project in Pakistan and they will be shipped in April.
