: $2 Trillion US Infrastructure & Employment Package
The White House's $2 trillion infrastructure and employment package, unveiled last week, includes $174 billion to fund electric cars, the proposal's single largest item in the transportation segment. For the next decade, the money will be used to fund the installation of 500,000 electric car chargers.
But if the US can pull off electrification of its greatest contributor to #climatechange, it bodes well for decarbonizing the rest of the economy.
According to Biden's strategy, the government must set a precedent by purchasing large fleets of electric vehicles.
