Nanophase Presents at NASA Symposium Sponsors Nanopowders 2000 Conference
BURR RIDGE, Ill., Aug. 17 /PRNewswire/ -- Nanophase Technologies Corporation (Nasdaq: NANX - news), a leader in engineering advanced materials using nanocrystalline materials, announced that Dr. Gina R. Kritchevsky, Nanophase vice president of technology and engineering, was invited to make a presentation at the American Association of Crystal Growth and Epitaxy as part of a NASA workshop to explore emerging technology for continued research. Dr. Kritchevsky's discussion covered the broad nanotechnology field and, more specifically, commercial applications in which nanomaterials provide economic and technical benefits in applications including healthcare, electronics, energy and biology.
Nanophase also announced that it would be a corporate sponsor of the 3rd BCC Conference to explore the gamut of processing technologies, applications and business issues related to fine particles. Fine, Ultrafine and Nanopowders 2000 provides a forum for industry executives, scientists, engineers and researchers to discuss topical issues, technical trends and commercial subjects in the rapidly growing field of nanotechnology. The conference will be held from October 29 to November 1, 2000 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
