Galaxy Entertainment 3Q Ebitda HK$372 Mln
Galaxy Entertainment Group Ltd. (0027.HK), one of Macau's six casino license holders, said Wednesday its third-quarter earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization was HK$372 million.
The company's statement to the Hong Kong stock exchange didn't give a net profit figure or year-earlier results for comparison.
It said its Ebitda in the January-September period was HK$1.11 billion, more than doubling from the whole of 2006.
The casino operator, controlled by the family of Hong Kong businessman Lui Che-woo, said its flagship StarWorld casino hotel in Macau posted strong results.
Galaxy said its third-quarter revenue was HK$3.24 billion.
Revenue for the nine months ended Sept. 30 was HK$9.58 billion.
Galaxy Entertainment operates five casinos in the former Portuguese enclave of Macau, the only place in China where casino gambling is permitted.
