Liker Brings a Wealth of Professional Business Experience to Team's High-Powered Board of Directors; Prestigious Business Titles Include Founding Director of First Charter Bank and a Member of the Board of Directors of Herbalife International
Alan D. Liker, a respected business and legal expert, former law professor at Harvard Law School, member of the Board of Directors of the Shaklee Corporation, and founding Director of First Charter Bank has joined the Board of Directors of TEAM Communications Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:TMTV) (Neuer Markt:TME), it was announced today by Drew S. Levin, TEAM Chairman of The Board and Chief Executive Officer.
Liker, also a senior advisor to the Founding Family of Budget Rent-A-Car Worldwide, brings a wealth of corporate, legal and tax expertise to TEAM's prestigious Board of Directors. A graduate of New York University's Law School, Liker served as Principal of Xerox Development Corporation (XDC), a captive investment banking house and wholly owned subsidiary of Xerox, for four years. At XDC, he was instrumental in the landmark X-Ten Rulemaking as well as acquisitions of companies such as Shugart, Western Union International, and more than 20 venture investments including Apple Computer and Paradyne.
Liker is currently on the Board of Directors of Herbalife International and its Audit and Finance Committees. He has also been appointed to the Board of Directors of several foreign subsidiaries of Herbalife in Japan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, Korea and France. In addition, Liker served as Senior Tax Partner at Keating and Sterling, a Los Angeles based law firm, and later became a founding partner of Nelson, Liker and Merrifield, a full service corporate finance law firm. He was also a Senior Tax Partner at Manatt, Phelps, Rothenburg and Tunney, and a successor law firm currently named Jeffer, Mangels, Butler and Marmaro.
