Zitel (Nasdaq: ZITL) When you flat-out ask an investor relations spokesperson, "Are you planning to release any news today?", get a reply of "No," and then see the company put out a press release a couple of hours later, what can you do? Not that Zitel's Linux aspirations have impressed the market -- the stock began falling in afterhours trading Friday immediately after the company announced it would port software to Linux, and the slide continues today. Perhaps last week's action around VA Linux (Nasdaq: LNUX) has finally exhausted the market's appetite for the open source operating system. Except for Corel (Nasdaq: CORL), Linux plays are generally retreating, e.g. Perle Systems (Nasdaq: PERL) and Andover.net (Nasdaq: ANDN).
