Microsoft steigert erneut Umsatz und Gewinn

§ Der weltgrößte Software-Konzern Microsoft Corp. gab am Donnerstag nach Börsenschluss die Ergebnisse für sein drittes Fiskalquartal bekannt.
Der Nettogewinn belief sich demnach auf 2,56 Mrd. Dollar bzw. 23 Cents pro Aktie nach einem Überschuss von 1,32 Mrd. Dollar bzw. 12 Cents pro Aktie im Vorjahr. Analysten gingen zuvor jedoch von einem Gewinn von 32 Cents pro Aktie aus.
Der Umsatz erreichte im Berichtszeitraum 9,62 Mrd. Dollar, im Vergleich zu 9,175 Mrd. Dollar im Vorjahr. Analysten hatten den Umsatz im Vorfeld auf 9,83 Mrd. Dollar geschätzt.
Für das laufende Quartal rechnet Microsoft mit einem Umsatz von 10,1 bis 10,2 Mrd. Dollar und einem EPS-Ergebnis von 27 bis 28 Cents, während Analysten für das laufende Quartal ein EPS-Ergebnis von 31 Cents und einen Konzernumsatz von 10,07 Mrd. Dollar prognostizieren.
Die Aktie von Microsoft schloss heute an der NASDAQ bei 24,45 Dollar und gewinnt nachbörslich aktuell 1,15 Prozent auf 24,73 Dollar. Gruss Ice

(MSFT) late Thursday said its fiscal third-quarter net profit nearly doubled and, while revenue rose 4.9% it lagged analysts' expectations. Microsoft said its quarterly profit rose to $2.56 billion, or 23 cents a share, from $1.32 billion, or 12 cents a share, a year ago. Revenue increased to $9.62 billion from $9.18 billion a year ago. The company said its per-share profit included a charge of 5 cents a share for legal items and reflected stock-based compensation expenses. On average, Wall Street analysts had expected a profit before items of 32 cents a share on revenue of $9.83 billion, according to a Thomson First Call survey. Gruss Ice
