689 Postings, 8822 Tage eyronok fluffy hier meine Stellungsnahme

iBEAM Broadcasting Teams With Excite@Home to Improve Broadband
Experience; Excite@Home Will Provide iBEAM Direct Access Onto Its
                            Broadband Network

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 31, 2000--iBEAM Broadcasting(R)
Corporation (Nasdaq:IBEM), an Internet Broadcast Network provider, and Excite@Home
(Nasdaq:ATHM), the leader in broadband, today announced that iBEAM will deploy its streaming
media serving equipment throughout Excite@Home's network to enhance the broadband content
experience. In addition to the deployment agreement, Excite@Home has made an equity
investment in iBEAM.

iBEAM will co-locate MaxCaster(TM) media serving systems, to distribute uninterrupted live and
on-demand streams directly into Excite@Home's 15,000-mile broadband network. iBEAM's
specialized broadcast infrastructure uses a combination of satellite and dedicated fiber to bypass
packet loss and bottlenecks that often plague the general Internet to provide high fidelity streaming
to Internet users.

"Partnering with Excite@Home brings us one very large step closer to building out our Internet
broadcast network," said Peter B. Desnoes, iBEAM president and CEO. "This agreement allows
us to place our high-fidelity streaming content on the largest broadband network in the country,
which helps us to reach the largest broadband customer base on the Internet with a high quality
product."

iBEAM's Internet broadcast network is optimized for delivery of live and on-demand streaming and
rich media content. The iBEAM(R) Network is designed to deliver video and audio streams via a
hybrid fiber and satellite platform to Access Providers, bringing content closer to end-users, thus
facilitating better performance. This network blends the beneficial aspects of traditional television
broadcast infrastructure, such as a dedicated fiber-optic acquisition network and satellite
broadcast, with the interactive capabilities of the Internet.

"iBEAM and Excite@Home are natural partners," said Mark O'Leary, executive vice president for
Excite@Home Business Solutions (EBS), the commercial division of Excite@Home. "Both
companies are intent on optimizing the Web experience by focusing on speedy, broadband services
and delivering the best broadband content experience to consumers."

SPEEDUS.COM and iBEAM Broadcasting Team Up to Deliver Streaming Media

NEW YORK, June 15 /PRNewswire/ -- SPEEDUS.COM, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPDE) today announced it has signed an agreement with
iBEAM Broadcasting Corporation(R) (Nasdaq: IBEM), a leading Internet Broadcast Network provider, to deliver high-fidelity
streaming audio and video.

Under the terms of the agreement, iBEAM will deploy its MaxCaster(TM) media serving system into SPEEDUS.COM's Network
Operations Center (NOC), enabling SPEEDUS.COM to deliver high-fidelity streaming media to its end-users. SPEEDUS.COM will
utilize its teleport downlink facility to deliver streaming content directly to the Company's Broadband Site that is currently under
development. By deploying the iBEAM solution, SPEEDUS.COM enables users to receive content directly from SPEEDUS.COM,
bypassing the congestion that can occur when content travels across the Internet backbone.

The SPEEDUS.COM Broadband Site is being designed for Internet users with a broadband connection wishing to view or listen to
entertaining broadband content that takes advantage of their high-speed connection. The Company has been streaming live and
pre-recorded expedition coverage of the SPEEDUS.COM sponsored Mount McKinley Expedition Team over the Internet from its
Broadband Beta Site, available through a link on the SPEED411(SM) Portal at http://www.speedus.com.

The expedition tested cutting edge wireless satellite streaming technology to transmit video back to the SPEEDUS.COM NOC in
Brooklyn, New York. Archived copies of all prior transmissions are also available at the site. Both high-speed and other Internet
users can access the site but high-speed users have had a dramatically better viewing experience. About SPEEDUS.COM

SPEEDUS.COM is an emerging facilities-based broadband and wireless super high-speed Internet company. The Company has
launched its SPEED411(SM) Portal to promote broadband high-speed Internet access on a nationwide basis. The Company's NOC
in the Brooklyn Army Terminal contains a data center with a Linux-based Internet gateway transmitter and a teleport facility with
satellite down links and fiber optic backbone. SPEEDUS.COM also provides standard direct dial-up and ISDN service, as well as
web hosting and e-mail.

Currently, the company is conducting a limited pilot program of its SPEED(SM) broadband Super High-Speed Internet service.
SPEED is delivered via 14 Internet Broadcast Stations operating under the Company's FCC license covering Metro New York. The
Internet broadcast signal is currently not available at all locations in the license area. A full marketing effort will not commence until
new LMDS equipment becomes commercially available with cost and performance that allow implementation of SPEED service on
an economically attractive basis.

In September 1999, the Company announced its equity investment in SPEEDIA, LLC, (http://www.speedia.com), a mobile Web to
wireless information and e-commerce service company. SPEEDUS.COM also explores additional incubation opportunities in
Internet and e-commerce companies. SPEEDUS.COM's NOC is a high-tech facility that can host new, cost-conscious Internet
startups that need Internet backbone connectivity and quick ramp-up capabilities.

iBEAM Broadcasting (IBEM) took it on the chin, and lost over 22% (6 3/8). This substantive loss follows two very successful weeks for IBEM. In our last issue we noted that IBEM would be exiting their “quiet period” and that investors would be looking for coverage signals and price targets from the brokerage houses. Well those signals came and they just weren’t strong (i.e. “strong buy”) enough for IBEM to continue its skyward move. On Monday Bear Stearns, JP Morgan, Robertson Stephens and Kaufman Bros started IBEM solely at a “buy”. Morgan Stanley Dean Witter started IBEM at “Outperform”. I feel the investing public was looking for and counting on strong buy recommendations, and this disappointment coupled with the overall downtrend in the streaming sector and the recent huge run up in IBEM price allowed for such a strong negative retreat. On the positive side IBEM announced a slew of streaming media initiatives, probably the most important was the signing of over 150 Internet content providers to their service. Also worthy of mention is the news that IBEM and Engage have announced the availability of On-Target, a new online advertising service. The service allows providers to insert targeted video and audio ads into streamed content using Windows Media Format. The use of such ads are highly valued by sponsors because of their “locked in audience” as opposed to banner ads. If you want to see the stream you must sit through the ad. I would look for IBEM to recover from this setback.

InterPacket, was für weiteres Aufwärtspotential sorgen dürfte.

Fist Mover, niedrige Kostenstruktur, interessante Beteiligungen & Kooperationen.. was will man mehr.
