Mich stört bei Torm etwas, dass die Ex-Dividendentemrine nicht schon für das KJ im voraus bekannt sind. Ich habe deshalb bei Torm angefragt und erhielt von Mikael Bo Larsen, Head Of Investor Relations, die Antwort: "Ex-dividend dates for the remaining part of the year have not yet been set. Normally, we would expect that the ex-dividend will be 11 calendar days after publication of the quarterly result, which would lead to 25 August and 17 November – but again, nothing has been decided yet."
TORM's Board of Directors has today approved an interim dividend for the second quarter of 2025 of USD 0.40 per share to be paid to the shareholders corresponding to an expected total dividend payment of USD 39.2m. The distribution for the quarter is equivalent to 67% of net profit and reflects the Distribution Policy. The payment date is 03 September 2025 to all shareholders on record as of 22 August 2025, and the ex-dividend date is 21 August 2025 for the shares listed on Nasdaq OMX Copenhagen and 22 August 2025 for the shares listed on Nasdaq New York.
Investors in TORM plc TRMD need to pay close attention to the stock based on moves in the options market lately. That is because the Oct. 17, 2025 $30.00 Put had some of the highest implied volatility of all equity options today.
What do the Analysts Think? Clearly, options traders are pricing in a big move for TORM shares, but what is the fundamental picture for the company? Currently, TORM is a Zacks Rank #2 (Buy) in the Transportation - Shipping industry that ranks in the Top 34% of our Zacks Industry Rank. Over the last 60 days, one analyst has increased the earnings estimate for the current quarter, while none have dropped their estimates. The net effect has taken our Zacks Consensus Estimate for the current quarter from 51 cents per share to 60 cents in that period.
Given the way analysts feel about TORM right now, this huge implied volatility could mean there’s a trade developing. Oftentimes, options traders look for options with high levels of implied volatility to sell premium. This is a strategy many seasoned traders use because it captures decay. At expiration, the hope for these traders is that the underlying stock does not move as much as originally expected.
