Glamour always influences and empowers women to be their best selves. Much like Viber, they continually engage with their millions of devoted readers and social media followers all over the world. They wanted to use Viber to boost their mobile readership while providing readers with direct communication and a captivating in- and out-of-app experience, with a focus on growing their engagement with Russian readers.

Glamour leveraged Viber’s always-ready Russian audience and suite of engagement tools to create their own dedicated Public Account, sticker pack, and bot experience. Here’s how we deployed this successful program:

Within one month, Glamour used Viber to provide exclusivity and relevance to their readers, with the potential to re-engage post-campaign.

“Glamour’s partnership with Rakuten Viber has proven that a diverse product and active audience engages both new and existing Russian Glamour readers, thanks to an interactive and results-driven program.” Viktoria Bukharkina, Publisher of Glamour Magazine

During the one-month program, Glamour saw tremendous results—both on Viber as well as on Glamour.com:

Stickers Shared 20.2M

Public Chat Followers 650K

Public Chat Views 4.8M+

die einen sagen so und die anderen so.

Die anderen, zu denen ich gehöre, können den Ansatz der Ausbildung einer Umkehrformation erkennen.

Trotzdem halte ich nichts von Charttechnik, sondern sie für Unfug.

2016 is almost out but there’s just time to anoint one more ride-sharing unicorn. Careem, one of Uber’s lower profile rivals in emerging markets, has taken a step into the global limelight today after it announced that it has raised $350 million led by Japanese e-commerce firm Rakuten and Saudi Telecom Company (STC).

Und auf der anderen Seite der pure Neid seit ewiger Zeit bei den Gewinnen von anderen.

Das grenzt ja schon an SM.

63653 Postings, 7363 Tage LibudaAuch hier ist Rakuten massiv drin

Mark up one more sizeable round of funding for another regional startup that is rivalling Uber and other services in the world of on-demand transportation. Cabify, a ride-sharing app based out of Madrid and active in Spain and Latin America, has raised $120 million — money that it plans to use to continue building out its business on both sides of the Atlantic, starting first in Brazil and Argentina. It’s currently active in 14 cities

The Series C round values the company at $320 million ($200 million pre-money), and it is notable also for who is investing. Rakuten — the Japanese e-commerce giant that also backs Lyft and had invested in Cabify previously — is leading the round, with participation from others whose names are not being disclosed.

Juan de Antonio, Cabify’s CEO and founder, confirmed to me that the list of undisclosed backers does not include Softbank, or big strategics like Didi Kuaidi or Lyft, or any car companies, but that part of the company’s strategy going forward will be to work more closely with companies like the latter two.

Cabify wants to raise at least $300 million in new funding

Madrid-based company also signed a partnership with Easy Taxi

Spanish ride-sharing company Cabify is seeking at least $300 million in new funding as it works to expand in its current markets, according to people familiar with the matter.

The Madrid-based company is working with Bank of America Corp., the people said, asking not to be identified because the deliberations are private. The company, which is currently valued at about $1 billion, may wrap up the fundraising in the coming months, one of the people said. The new capital would add to the $100 million Cabify raised in April, according to a regulatory filing.

"Removing dead-weight operations with minimal growth potential is just part of the long-term strategy. Mikitani hailed the disruptive potential of mobile technologies such as messaging app Viber, video platform Viki, and shopping site Ebates, all companies acquired by Rakuten in the past three years.

Still, the company’s disparate acquisitions and abrupt shifts in regional focus have left many investors and analysts wondering if it can effectively compete with international rivals."

63653 Postings, 7363 Tage LibudaWarum Viber so wichtig ist

"Messaging app Viber adds shopping feature. Messaging app Viber has debuted a new ecommerce feature in its app. When users press a small shopping bag icon at the bottom of the screen, Viber will present users with items for sale, inspired by current chat content. The selection of items will be in a range of categories from Viber ecommerce parent Rakuten, as well as items curated from a variety of other brands."

63653 Postings, 7363 Tage LibudaViber acquisition position Rakuten well for future

Neeraj Gulati, managing director of ingenuity at IPG Mediabrands, says, “The new face of e-commerce is not just taking offline products and selling them online, but using data from the online space and customizing products and services for the user to make them relevant to that moment. It will become ‘data-commerce.’”

Gulati views Rakuten’s moves as simply “the next revolution in the e-retail space, where shopping will take a more contextual face.” He predicts that in the near future, data from chat apps such as Viber and Whatsapp will blend seamlessly into services and products for sale. If this holds true, Rakuten’s Viber acquisition positions the company well for the future.

January 13, 2015 - Rakuten Card Co., Ltd. today announced that it has established Taiwan Rakuten Card, Inc., and from January 13, 2015, the new company has begun accepting applications for and issuing Taiwan Rakuten Card credit cards. Taiwan is the first country outside Japan in which Rakuten Card has issued its own credit card.

Rakuten Card, where cardholders can earn Rakuten Super Points, Rakuten’s loyalty points program, has been highly successful in Japan. In order to develop this model in Taiwan, Taiwan Rakuten Card obtained a license to issue credit cards in Taiwan from Taiwan’s Financial Supervisory Commission in June 2014.

Taiwan Rakuten Card is a credit card with no annual fee that allows cardholders to earn Rakuten Super Points on their purchases made with the card. For each purchase, cardholders can earn Rakuten Super Points equivalent to 1% of the settlement amount of the purchase. However, when used on the Rakuten Ichiba Taiwan shopping mall, cardholders will receive an additional 1%, allowing them to earn Rakuten Super Points equivalent to a total of 2% of the settlement amount. These Rakuten Super Points can be used for shopping on Rakuten Ichiba Taiwan, with 1 point equal to 1 New Taiwan dollar, offering users a highly convenient service centered on Rakuten Super Points.
